Reinstatement cost assessments

It is vital to know that you have the right insurance for your property and have not under-insured or over-insured. The wrong insurance figure can leave you at risk in the event you do need to make a claim, or can result in paying higher than necessary premiums. Our team of knowledgeable surveyors can provide you with a Reinstatement Cost Assessment to make sure that you have insured your property for the correct price. We use up to date tables provided by the BCIS service of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and our surveyors have experience carrying these out on a wide range of properties, from individual flats and houses, to blocks of flats, estates, and more specialist buildings.

snagging inspections

If you a purchasing a property that is brand new or that is currently being constructed by a developer, you will still want to ensure that there are no defects. Fairclough & Dyer can carry out a snagging inspection once the construction is complete – and prior to you taking ownership – which outlines any defects visible in a format that you can give to the developer/contractor to make sure defects are rectified before you move in. This can be for something as minor as smudges on painted walls, or items such as windows that do not operate correctly, or even possible defects to the structure. This helps give you peace of mind that your new build property is to the best standard.
